Thursday, 15 October / Day 1

Bologna / Modena

  • Arrival in Bologna and transfer to Modena (meet everyone in Bologna center)
  • 1:00 Visit a Family-run Acetaia, where you’ll discover the secrets of traditional balsamic vinegar and enjoy a lunch featuring this 25+ year aged vinegar paired with everything from cheese to gelato.
  • 3:00 Local Wine Tasting and Tour
  • 7:00 Aperitivo and Dinner at a historic Hostaria

Friday, 16 October / Day 2

Modena

  • Modena Food Traditions(visit Modena area – stay in Modena)

  • 10:00 Start with a Parmigiano Reggiano dairy tour, witnessing the centuries-old craft behind the world’s most famous cheese.

  • 12:00 Lambrusco winery for a tasting of Emilia’s sparkling red wines with a light lunch

  • 3:00 In the afternoon, you are free to visit Ferrari Museum visit (a must-do for race car fans and anyone who enjoy Italian ingenuity in design). For culture lovers, enjoy a walk-through Modena’s UNESCO-listed center, with its Duomo and Ghirlandina Tower.

Saturday, 17 October / Day 3

Parma

  • Parma the Culinary Jewel of Emilia(transfer to Parma and visit Parma – stay in Parma)

  • 10:00 Morning walking tour of Parma’s historic center (the pink Baptistery, Romanesque Duomo, and Teatro Farnese). Lunch on Parma’s specialty, tortelli d’erbetta.

  • 4:00 Hands-on pasta-making class: learn the art of tagliatelle and tortellini, then dine on your creations with local wines.

Sunday, 18 October / Day 4

Parma

  • Parma and the King of Cured Meats (visit Parma area – stay in Parma)

  • 10:00 Travel to the Parma lowlands to tour a traditional Culatello di Zibello PDO, the king of cured meats cellar. Guided tasting of this rare and prized salume, paired with local wines.

  • 2:00 Local wine tasting and tour

  • 5:00 Return to Parma for Dinner

Monday, 19 October / Day 5

Bologna Ravenna

  • Ravenna, the City of Mosaics (move to Bologna Ravenna – stay in Bologna)
  • 10:00 Ravenna, home to Byzantine mosaics.
  • 12:30 Lunch with Romagna flavors: piadina stuffed with local cheeses and cured meats, cappelletti in brodo, and seafood from the Adriatic.
  • 2:30 Side trip to Comancho to Sit by the Canal and enjoy their famous White Wine
  • 4:30 Return to Bologna for a free evening.

Tuesday, 20 October / Day 6

Bologna

  • Romagna Hills and Olive Groves (Visit Bologna area – stay in Bologna)

  • 10:00 Faenza and Brisighella for a visit to a DOP extra virgin olive oil farm in Brighella, tasting oils followed by a rustic lunch.

  • 2:00 Visit a Romagna winery to explore the vineyards, learn about Sangiovese, Cesanese, and enjoy a guided wine tasting.

  • Back in Bologna for a free evening.

Wednesday, 21 October / Day 7

Bologna

  • Bologna (last day in Bologna – stay in Bologna)

  • 10:30 Food walk in Bologna (La Grassa, “the fat one”) visiting the Quadrilatero food market,

  • 2:00 Free Afternoon
