There is nothing better than spices that blend together and make a wonderful seasoning mix. And Dukkah is no exception. This recipe will make a little more than a half cup of warm, aromatic and delicious spices that are a perfect compliment to fruit, chicken or veggies like mushrooms.
Dukkah is an all purpose spice dip in the Western Parts of African. Sometimes used as a spice rub – sometimes just placed in a small bowl on the table. There are many healthy spices in this dish we could highlight but we chose the cinnamon. Some research has found that it may lower blood sugars in people with diabetes. Others have also found that it can help with lowering cholesterol . And lab studies have found that cinnamon may reduce inflammation, have antioxidant effects, and fight bacteria. Cinnamon is a real powerhouse spice!
We hope you will find this dip/rub as versatile as we do. Shayna likes it on fresh fruit, and Nancy loves it on a baked sweet potato! What can you find for this delicious African spice mixture?
